Christ In You, The Hope Of Glory

Christianity is the only religion in the world that teaches that Jesus Christ, it's founder, by faith enters His followers and produces His loving character within.
This is the ultimate meaning of Christmas. " The Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us...we have seen His glory the glory as of the only Son from the Father full of grace and truth (John 1:18). The first time in history Jesus became a man. Now He becomes flesh and blood by living within His followers. He came to His own (people, the Jews) and they rejected Him. But to all who receive, who believe in His Name, He gives the right to become children of God (John 1: 11,12). Receive Jesus by faith (believe in Him and ask Him to take over your life), and you will experience the new birth, Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

In Philippians 2: 1-8, the steps that Jesus took to go to the cross to be our Saviour are outlined for us. He was in the form of God, and did not consider equality with God something to be grasped. He made Himself nothing taking the form of a servant (a slave). And being born in the likeness of man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. What love and grace He showed as He died for us. Our sins were placed upon Him on the cross and and as a result we can be forgiven. As we accept His death and resurrection by believing we receive Him and He comes to live within us. If you have not yet received Him, do it right now. Ask Him to enter your heart and by faith believe on Him. You will have new life within you. Then pray, read and meditate on the Bible for God's instructions on how to live.

Moreover, God (the Father)has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, i.e. the name Jesus (Jehovah saves). At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow in Heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Jehovah) to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-10). Simply put, Jesus was co-equal with God the Father, left Heaven's glory and became a man, the true servant of God, and died on the cross for our sins. Now He
is exalted above all. Someday, every living creature will confess that He is Jehovah God.

The mind and attitude of Jesus is what Christians are supposed to embody in their lives. His humility, His obedience, His Lordship are to be fleshed out in the believer to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:1-5). In other word, we become like Him. He is our pattern. This can only happen as His life and strength is at work within us. Unselfishness, wanting to get our own way, rivalry and jealousy are to be put aside through His grace and power working within us. This is what Christmas is all about. God's gift to us is His dear Son (John 3:16). Let us allow the living Christ Jesus to invade every part of us so He fills us with His glory.
That is when life really becomes worthwhile. And to the extent that Jesus rules us
deep inner contentment will be ours.
